SYNOPSIS
How many of us, when parking their cars, desperately look for a shaded place, to prevent vehicles from “roasting” under the summer sun? In the future it could happen just the opposite, meaning a real race for a "place in the sun."
The video shows a system of photovoltaic "thin films" modules, developed by researchers at the University of Parma. This technology is able to significantly reduce production costs of solar panels. Within few years it could become cost competitive with fossil fuels.
