Dear friends, we are super happy to tell you some great news! After so much work, the Giants of the Sea will finally be broadcasted tomorrow on RAITRE around 6:15 pm, during the TV show Geo. It’s a great satisfaction for us, Geo is a historic show, and for us it represents the perfect goal after all the commitment and passion that we put in this project. Dear friends our journey is about to end. We travelled 130 nautical miles, we witnessed the rage of the sea and we met amazing and unique people…faces carved by the sun and the sea, rough hands and an ancient knowledge that after more than 300 years is still alive. In the following months we will be busy with the post-production of our documentary, and we will do our best to visually translate the beautiful encounters and all the stories we heard, so that you can all feel the same emotions that we felt discovering the giants of the sea…

Over the last few weeks we have been busy getting ready for our journey, which will begin tomorrow from the harbour of Giulianova… Along our way we will discover the story of these fantastic fishing machines and of their keepers! Dear friends, today we are going to tell you something about the story that lies behind our new project. Everything began with a shipwreck during a stormy night in the end of 1600. A boat with a family of French Jews arrived on a beach called “Valle Grotte”, in the Italian region of Abruzzo; they were escaping from racial persecutions that were widespread in Europe at that time.
